Global MSF MAPATHON

Free and open to the public! Sign up here

What is a mapathon?

The aim is to map the intervention areas and allow our teams to plan logistical needs, optimise epidemiological surveillance, and ensure coordination with other organisations.

The Mapathon brings together volunteers to enrich the mapping of a defined area.

YOU can contribute: all you need to do is to compare satellite images and report buildings on a common map that will be made available in Open Source to all NGOs worldwide. A team of experts will be on hand to help you.

Where? At the University of Luxembourg, Belval campus - Maison des sciences humaines, 1st floor (GIS Lab)
11, porte des Sciences
L-4366 Esch-sur-Alzette

When? Wednesday, November 13th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm

What do I need to bring? Your own laptop

Free drinks and snacks!

The event is a MSF partnership with the Geography and Spatial Planning Department of the University of Luxembourg and the Urban Development and Mobility Department of the LISER (Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research)
