VIDEO: Janet Currie shares insights on health economics and policy interventions

In the frame of LISER’s Research Seminar Series, the renowned senior researcher presented ongoing research

As part of her visit to LISER, Prof. Janet Currie (Princeton University) presented ongoing research in the LISER Research Seminar Series (RSS) entitled "Has the Clean Air Act Significantly Reduced Racial Disparities in Particulate Exposure? New Evidence from Satellite Data" (joint with John Voorheis and Reed Walker).

LISER researcher Peter Shirley sat down with the senior researcher to discuss the following:

  1. What issue or issues in health economics do you think currently do not receive the attention that they should?
  2. Which policy interventions do you believe would, if reformed, have the greatest positive impact on public health?
  3. Which policy interventions do you believe have been extremely successful in regards to health or health-related outcomes?
  4. What role do you think new forms of data collection and predictive computational approaches will play in health economics moving forward?
