Selected from a list of 50 researchers, LISER is represented among the Researchers and Members of Parliament (MPs) who will each meet in their respective work environment.  The Pairing Scheme started with a visit of the researchers in the Luxembourgish Parliament on 18 October, to get an overview over the political process in Luxembourg.  Subsequently. the researchers will meet separately with their paired MP to get more in-depth insights.

As Luxembourg builds its own scientific capacity, the benefits it receives are amplified when accompanied by political support. Fostering this exchange between Researchers and MPs will both widen scientific knowledge in Luxembourg’s government and help researchers understand how MPs make decisions.
