About the conference:
The Benelux Interuniversity Association of Transport Researchers (BIVEC-GIBET) unites both researchers and professional people qualified in fields such as transport economics, transport geography, urban and spatial planning, logistics and operations research, regional economics, transport law, engineering, and other related social sciences. Every two years, BIVEC-GIBET organises its Transport Research Days bringing together transport researchers from universities and research centres in one of the Benelux countries but also researchers from abroad with an interest in transport and mobility in the Benelux. The location of the conference rotates between Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. After a first time in 2013, the Transport Research Days now return to Luxembourg.
Local organisers are this time the Urban Development and Mobility department of the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), the MobiLab Transport Research Group and the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Luxembourg (uni.lu). Central theme of the 2025 Transport Research Days is “Towards sustainable and inclusive transport in an era of digital transformations”.
