A showcase for scientific excellence in Belval
Traditionally associated with a new dynastic milestone, the Joyeuses Entrées are privileged moments for the Grand Ducal couple to meet with citizens and the country’s key stakeholders. Centred around the themes of multiculturalism, social cohesion, research, and innovation, the event will feature a festive route connecting Belval to the centre of Esch-sur-Alzette.
LISER will take advantage of this exceptional showcase to transform the outdoor covered hall (located next to the Halle des Poches à Fonte) into an interactive space for exchange. The Institute will highlight two of its centres of excellence:
- The LISER Policy Lab: bridging expertise in support of public decision-making. The Policy Lab will present its key role in informing and supporting public policy in Luxembourg and beyond. Through rigorous analysis and impact assessments, it assists decision-makers at every stage of the political cycle to strengthen evidence-based governance.
- CliC:ME (Climate Change: Migration and Economics): anticipating climate-induced challenges. Using an user friendly open access dashboard, LISER researchers will demonstrate their work on climate-induced migration. This project helps identify hotspots likely to face significant economic and demographic shifts, providing key, precise, and targeted data to ensure the security and sustainability of societies in the context of climate change.
A direct dialogue between research and society
From 14:30, LISER teams will welcome the public for hands-on demonstrations and discussions.
