As Luxembourg positions itself as a responsible European AI hub – promoting a human-centric approach, technological sovereignty and digital skills at all levels – a new LISER Policy Brief provides innovative evidence on how firms actually adopt artificial intelligence.
Drawing on novel data from over three million firm websites across Luxembourg, Belgium, France and Germany, it finds that 23% of Luxembourg firms use AI, compared with 16% in Germany, 10% in France and 8% in Belgium. While the financial sector explains part of this lead, adoption varies widely across firms and industries. Data and AI-related skills emerge as decisive enablers.
This brief is the first in a series examining the causes and implications of AI diffusion for labour-market dynamics, training, innovation and growth.
