Prof. Dr.
My research focuses on issues of urban geography, environmental geography, and cultural and social geography. My current work centers on the analysis of spaces of crisis, transformation, and imagination in the context of planetary challenges. The aim is to develop a critical and future-oriented geographical perspective on the understanding of urban, political, ecological, and psychological interactions. Against this backdrop, I primarily focus on the following three areas: urban development and climate change, planetary human geography, and geographical imaginations.

The FLARE Research Lecture Series on Contemporary Challenges is supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (19466989).
