Help us understand how telework shapes where and how people live and work in Luxembourg!

The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) has just launched a new online survey to better understand how (tele)working is reshaping people’s daily lives, relationship, and decisions about where to live and work — and you can take part!

Do you work in Luxembourg, either as a resident or cross-border worker? LISER wants to hear about your experiences with telework. We are looking for teleworkers and non-teleworkers, regardless of whether you work from home occasionally, regularly or not at all.

The survey explores how (tele)work arrangements  — whether telework or onsite work — influence not only where you live and work, but also how you organize daily life — whether living alone, with a partner, or with family and children.

The study, “Telework and Relocation: Understanding Intra-household interactions in Residential and Workplace Relocation Decisions,” will help researchers and policymakers design smarter urban, housing, and transport policies that respond to new work-life realities.

  • The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and is available in English, French, and German.
  • As a thank you, 10 participants will be randomly selected to win a €50 Amazon voucher.
  • Deadline: the survey is available until 15 December 2025.

Note:

This survey is led by PhD Candidate Anisa Fauzi Ratnasari at LISER, who was awarded a prestigious grant from the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS). Results from the survey will contribute to ongoing research and a scientific paper offering practical recommendations for employers and policymakers to address the emerging mobility and housing challenges of the telework era.
