On 29 January, the Modelling sub-group of the Comité des Statistiques Publiques (CSP) met under the joint chairmanship of Philippe Liégeois and Ferdy Adam. The meeting provided a concise overview of the micro- and macroeconomic models used in Luxembourg for forecasting and evaluating public policies. Insights from the Belgian Federal Planning Bureau were also beneficial.
Exchanges between STATEC, LISER, IGSS, several ministries, and the University of Luxembourg highlighted existing and potential synergies. Building on this promising basis, the sub-group will continue its work to better map the available tools and prepare the ground for strengthened yet gradual collaboration among Luxembourg stakeholders.
