In partnership with the World Bank, the CliC:ME team has launched Project RISE (Resilience, Inclusion, and Skills for Environmental Migration and Adaptation). This initiative examines how education and skills development can promote climate resilience and facilitate safe and adaptive human migration. Using high-resolution spatial data, the project maps future climate risks, poverty, and mobility patterns, paying particular attention to populations vulnerable to climate-driven immobility. Project RISE will evaluate the impact of investments in training, digital literacy, and inclusive learning systems on reducing climate-driven vulnerability and expanding adaptation opportunities, providing policymakers with actionable insights for developing long-term, people-centered resilience strategies.
